This is a very useful tip. The "Show Desktop" icon in Windows is one of the most frequently used. The following is the process to restore the icon back in case you have removed it.
Procedure
1. Open a text editor(Notepad) and enter the following code:
[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
2. Save the file with the following name "Desktop.scf". The saved file changes its appearance and functionality and will become your new "Show Desktop" icon.
